Serving the City of Woodlake.
Fire protection for the City of Woodlake and the surrounding areas is provided by the Woodlake Fire District. Established in 1924, the Fire District operates out of its headquarters, centrally located on Naranjo Boulevard just east of Valencia Boulevard. The District is manned by three full time Company Officers, which include a Fire Chief, a Fire Captain, and a Fire Apparatus Engineer.
Along with the three full time employees the District is augmented by a volunteer fire company of sixteen active members. Our department responds to many different types of incidents which include responding to fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, technical rescues and other life threatening or dangerous conditions. Besides responding to emergencies our personnel are responsible for providing Fire Prevention and education to the public which include conducting life safety inspections in every business operating in our jurisdiction, as well as visiting schools to provide the citizens of Woodlake education in fire safety.
Woodlake’s Fire District currently operates three type I fire engines which include a 2009 Ferrara Fire Apparatus Engine with a pump capacity of 1251 gallons per minute, a 2000 Freightliner cab engine with a pump capacity of 1000 gallons per minute, and a 1993 International cab engine with a pump capacity of 1251 gallons per minute.
