  Extra Help - Animal Control Specialist

City of Woodlake Extra Help Animal Control Specialist $12.00/hr to $15.00/hr The City of Woodlake is seeking a candidate for an Extra Help-Animal Control Specialist position. The term of the position will be from October 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. The employee will work 15-20 hours a week. The Extra Help Animal Control position, will be a contract position, under general supervision of the Public Works Supervisor. The candidate will be responsible for capturing and impounding unlicensed stray and uncontrolled animals, caging and securing animals, transporting animals to a designated shelter, supplying food and water to detained animals and maintaining files of number of animals impounded and disposition of each. Duties may also include cleaning facilities and equipment such as dog pens and animal control trucks, educating the public about animal welfare and animal control laws and regulations and contacting animal owners to inform them that their pets are in the animal shelter.
